Did you know, utilizing Google My Business is the easiest way to rank highly in local SEO for commercial real estate?    

 

You probably already know that, so I’m going to dive a little deeper today in using technical SEO and keyword research with Google My Business.

 

Let’s talk about how to optimize your Google My Business for your real estate business and get better local SEO results.

 

#1 Claim and Verify Your Business.

If you don’t Google My Business setup for your real estate business, now’s the time. This might take a while.  If it can’t verify you, it will send you a postcard with a code to type in for verification.  It’s worth the wait if you want better local SEO results.

 

#2 Use Keywords in your Profile.

Add relevant keywords into your business description, services offered, and posts. This will help improve your visibility in local SEO when potential clients are searching for services in your area.  Not everyone is searching for “brokerage”, they might be searching for “real estate landlord services” or “help leasing a shop”.  Adding keywords will help them find your real estate website. Add your social media links to gain creditability.

 

#3 Add Photos.

Most people stop at #2, so any additional work will give you a leg up on your SEO strategy.  Photos of your brokerage, team members, commercial properties you represent, and graphs of market trends are great ways to enhance your on-page SEO.  If you don’t have any photos to post, check out rights free image providers for a website of stock photos every real estate agent can use.

 

#4 Testimonials Processes.

After a transaction is complete, encourage your client to fill out a Google Review for your business.  If you pre-write the email and keep it handy, you’re more likely to do this extra bit.  Don’t skip it!  How many businesses have you tried based on their reviews? This is key when trying to rank better in local SEO.
